Enduring Charm

In the heart of the city lies one of Lafayette’s most coveted home locations. Commonly known as The Saint Streets, named after the neighborhood street names of well known Saints.

The Saint Streets is one of Lafayette’s oldest housing developments. Most common boundaries are Cameron Street/Eraste Landry Road to the North, E. University Avenue to the East, Johnston Street to the South, and Cajundome Blvd to the West (See map below).

The location is very desirable because of the walkability to downtown and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Other than just the proximity, people enjoy the mature trees and unique character and appeal of these older homes.

You will find many residents walking and biking the quiet shady streets. Just like hundreds of years ago, you will also find people enjoying the outdoors, planting a garden, playing traditional music, or rocking on an old chair under the shade of a large live oak or on their covered front porch. The people who live here are very friendly and gladly welcome anyone and their pets.

Many unique cultural events are hosted here including the Saint Street Stroll, where residents go house to house and tour/purchase the works of many artists, musicians, craft makers, clothing designers, jewelers and other merchants (many who reside in the Saint Streets). They even host their own Mardi Gras Parade!

This is one of my favorite areas of town and I am a heavy promoter through my website (SaintStreets.com) and social media pages (Faceboook.com/SaintStreets). If you or anyone you know may be interested in a home in the Saint Streets, I would love to help! – Jamie 337.654.3174
